How controversial is it to kiss your child on the lips?

Victoria Caroline Beckham is a woman who has already managed to accomplish so much in their own lives; shes a businesswoman, a fashion designer, a stunning model, a vocalist, a caring spouse and a nurturing mother.

Also formerly known by her stage name from the 1990 s girl group Spice Girls Posh Spice, shes successfully managed to make the absolute most of their own lives. Shes been married to David Beckham since style back in 1999 and have had four kids together now in total, something many mothers know the trials of all too well.

Lately Victoria has been trending online for a scene which started circulate and receiving a lot of entirely mixed reviews, some of which are absolutely disgusting.

To you, does this image look like some sort of weird pre-pedo child abuse, or does it seem as though a mother is demonstrating her daughter affection by giving her a peck on the lips? Apparently the group believing the latter is using fairly unique debate based on how uncomfortable they are with how close this mother is to her own daughter, but is it sex or wrong for a mother to do that with a smaller infant?

While many of her fans exclaimed their love and understand for the photo( it was the 5-year-olds birthday after all ), the well-wishes and admiration posts were quickly drowned out by their more sinister equivalents. One of the more innocent commenters stated, It’s nice but you’re not supposed to kiss you’re children around the lips. I’m not trying to be rude but it’s true. Is it?

So, to determine whether or not this is something that can be seen as appropriate, BBC Trending spoke with social etiquette expert Liz Brewer to ensure what she had to say on the matter 😛 TAGEND

Normally with a member of your family you don’t kiss on the lips unless it’s your husband. With infants, I wouldn’t have thought it’s a particularly good habit to get into but it’s her child and she’s at liberty to do what she thinks is best
I would be uncomfortable doing that and I suppose most people would be. If she feels it’s appropriate, so be it. I wouldn’t say it situates a particularly good example.

This isnt even the first image to stir up this type of parent-child controversy, take a look at this image of a parent holding his sick son in the rain to assistance clean him up and feel better.

Again, this photograph received the same negative connotations as Beckhams, but knowing that I feel the question needs to be asked, Why is it inappropriate for a mother to take care of and present affection to their child when theres no sex undertones involved?
